This BA1620 caged drawn cup needle roller bearing has a steel cage and is suitable for applications with high dynamic loads. SCE1620 It has a smaller cross-section than a machined needle roller bearing for use in restricted mounting spaces. The J1620 steel cage provides guidance and even spacing of the rollers for reduced friction, vibration, and noise when operated at high speeds. The needle rollers are made of through-hardened, high-carbon chromium steel for durability and heat tolerance, and have contoured ends to optimize the distribution of contact stress. This J-1620 Needle Roller Bearing is used in various applications, such as automotive and truck transmissions, agricultural and construction equipment, pumps and compressors, and two-cycle engines, among others.
Needle bearing rollers have high length-to diameter ratios. They are quite commonly used in farm and construction equipment gasoline engines, gear pumps and small appliances. They may be lubricated with grease but oil based lubricants are considered for longevity and smoothness. Needle bearings have smaller rollers and have the highest load capacity for a given radial space of all rolling bearings.
