The term "Flange" refers the the projecting flat rim on the outer race of the bearing, this flange is used to attach and maintain its position in an application. Made from Stainless-Steel, SFR168-2RS is a Miniature Ball Bearing that can withstand both moderate radial and axial loads while providing high performance.
