About Electric Motor Quality Bearings

Electric motor quality (EMQ) bearings are deep groove ball bearings made and checked for low noise and low vibration, which is what electric motors, fans and pumps need for quiet, long running. They come with metal shields (ZZ) or rubber seals (2RS), and many have C3 internal clearance, which allows for the heat and tight shaft fits common in motors.

When you replace a motor bearing, match the part number, the closure (shielded or sealed) and the clearance (C3) of the original. If the old bearing is unreadable, measure the bore, outside diameter and width and search by size. Our How to Measure a Bearing guide shows how.
