About Metric Left Hand Thread Male Rod Ends

Metric left hand thread male rod ends have an externally threaded shank with a left hand metric thread. Rod ends (also called heim joints) are spherical bearings in an eye with a threaded shank or body, used to connect linkages, control rods, cylinders and steering and throttle linkages while allowing angular movement.

Bores run from 6 mm to 22 mm, including maintenance free PTFE lined versions.

Right hand and left hand threads are often used together on the two ends of one rod, so turning the rod adjusts the overall length of the linkage, like a turnbuckle. For right hand threads, see Metric Right Hand Thread Male Rod Ends. See all Left Hand Thread Male Rod End Bearings.
